Nandrolone Phenpropionate (NPP) or Nandrolone Phenpropionate, among others, is an androgenic and anabolic drug (ASA), used primarily in the treatment of breast cancer and osteoporosis in women. It is given by injection into a muscle once a week. Although it has been widely used in the past, the drug has been largely discontinued and is therefore no longer available. NPP side effects include symptoms of masculinization such as acne, hair growth, voice changes and increased sexual desire. The drug is a synthetic androgenic and anabolic steroid and is therefore an androgen receptor (AR) agonist, the biological target of androgens such as testosterone and dihydrotestosterone (DHT).
